Want More Energy? Become More You
Most of us think energy comes from doing more: better routines, stricter habits, pushing through, optimising life. But what if the reason you’re tired isn’t because you’re doing too little, it’s because you’re doing too much of what isn’t truly you?
Real, sustainable energy doesn’t come from force. It comes from alignment.
Energy isn’t something you create, it’s something you stop leaking
So much exhaustion is the result of quiet self-abandonment:
Saying yes when your body says no
Living by expectations that aren’t yours
Performing versions of yourself that feel safe or acceptable
Overriding your intuition to keep things moving
Every time you do this, a little energy drains away.
When people say they’re “tired all the time,” what they often mean is: I’m disconnected from myself.
Becoming more you restores energy
When you live closer to who you truly are, energy returns naturally.
This can look like:
Honouring your natural pace instead of forcing productivity
Allowing rest without guilt
Telling the truth...gently, but honestly
Choosing work, relationships, and rhythms that feel safe in your body
Letting go of identities that no longer fit
Energy rises when your nervous system no longer has to stay on guard.
Burnout, chronic fatigue, and overwhelm are not failures of willpower. They are signals.
They tell us:
Something is unsustainable
Something is out of alignment
Something wants to change
The body is not asking to be fixed, it’s asking to be listened to.
You don’t need to become someone new
You don’t need to reinvent yourself to feel better.
Often, it's about subtraction, not addition:
Releasing pressure
Shedding old roles
Unlearning survival patterns
Coming home to what feels true
As you become more yourself, life requires less effort. Your system relaxes. Energy becomes available again.
Energy doesn’t always look like motivation or drive. Sometimes it looks like:
Steadiness
Clarity
Emotional capacity
Presence
The ability to say no
This kind of energy is quieter, but it lasts.
If you’re craving more energy, ask yourself:
Where am I overriding myself?
What feels heavy because it isn’t true anymore?
Where could I choose alignment over effort?
Becoming more you is not a destination, it’s a remembering.
And as you return to yourself, energy doesn’t need to be chased.
It comes back naturally.
